I have been battling these jerks for a long time now. I am only finding a few every now and then but after treating my tank with wormwood for the past 7 months I found two small ones tonight. I would like to describe my idea and see if you think it would work. I have a display tank and a 100 gallon frag tank that are on the same system. I know the worms could possibly be passed from both tank but do you think if I remove all the acros from my display and place them in the frag tank and dip everything weekly it would work on getting rid of the worms once and for all? My thinking is with the acros out of the display and dipping everything in the frag tank weekly I will be able to kill them and break their life cycle.
thanks in advance for your opinions

I beat them by pulling them from the display weekly to dip and putting them right back where they were. But yea either way should work good and since you have low numbers now it shouldn’t be as much work since you won’t have to be cutting and scraping off large areas of eggs.

My goal will be to remove all the acros out of the display tank and keep them in the frag tank. Several of them are well encrusted so I will have to move the rocks also. I think this will be the only way to fully get rid of them. Ive tried purge and wormwood and still have them so I see no other option. I want to have a system that I dont have to always wonder if they are still in the tank.
thanks

I agree with the above, weekly dipping, Id also seal up every bit of non living substrate (rock or dead skeleton) on the coral with superglue gel, it will seal in any eggs you missed and make removal of future egg masses easier to spot and remove.

Just my .02
