All acros were taken out and dipped and nothing resembling adult AEFW were found he reports so I'm hoping it's not AEFW. He also reports nothing resembling AEFW damage. So many eggs look alike I just can't tell and I didn't get to see them in person.

The first picture is definitely AEFW eggs. And under the eggs look to be like bite marks.

It's definetly aefw on the first picture you can see the damage done around the eggs. Had them and the damage is the same. Believe it or not never saw the eggs and pulled every coral that was infected and dipped them in fresh water that's when they released from the coral. You can see them they comoflauge with the coral. Fought them foe at least six months. What I found that helped me was the zeo vit flatworm stop been dosing it since and what it does it helps the acro pora create more slime that the flat worm don't penetrate through the tissue and eventually they die with no food. You can dip nothing kills the eggs and even them they are tuff cookies. Good luck

Wow, my eyes must be bad, I only see blurry brown spots that are definitely eggs, but the rest is really blurry and green. Can't make anything positive out of anything other than the fact that there is eggs.

I see the spots you see, but I've seen AEFW damage before and that pic is inconclusive IMO. It definitely may be, I just can't tell for sure without a better pic. I'll see if he can pull it out and give us a better look.

Looks like aefw eggs and bite marks to me too. I'm no marine biologist but I've seen a lot of aefw eggs and bite marks lately.

Grrrr! You guys are not telling me what I want to hear! (Not your fault) But he got that frag from me. I've broken the entire colony off the rock and inspected it thoroughly and can find no evidence past or present of AEFW. I also see no evidence elsewhere in my tank, but I feel horrible. He has added other frags recently from other sources, but only that frag had eggs. He has dipped ALL SPS and saw no adults. Real frustrating and confusing. I'm no newbie to SPS and I dip. Real head scratcher at this point.

I learned my lesson. when you buy a coral cut off the plug or rock and glue to one of yours that is the only way you get rid of the eggs and if you gave him a frag that you cut off your colony i dont think it came from you. A lot of people have aefw and dont even know they got them.

IMO, RPS works great. I dipped a badly infested acro, with in a couple months the thing healed nicely. I watched some eggs, and nothing ever became of them. OH, and ZEN can't handle it, I use a half dose for zoas.
There is a dip called RPS that claims to kill the eggs. They also say you can't use it on certain corals.
