As for cure, there's chemical/ medications and livestock that would deal with it. As for prevention, dipping of anything ( except fishes and like) we put in our tank. As for immunity, there is none so far.
I believe the only sure way to prevent them from getting in your tank is to quarantine everything before it goes in. I dipped everything that went into my tank and still ended up with them, the dips don't kill the eggs. I finally beat them by removing all my acros and weekly dips for a couple of months.
Learned the hard way about 10 years ago... Had AEFW's and monti nudis at the same time. QT everything and thoroughy inspect before putting it in your system. The person selling acros with AEFW most often doesn't know they have them, so it's up to us to keep out the nasties.
The best method for prevention is careful inspection, dipping in revive, and only adding fresh cut SPS. The eggs are what get past the dips, and will not be found on live tissue. A keen eye is needed to spot the eggs on encrusted additions.
