I'm not getting the colors I want our of my SPS, so I was looking to see what I might be able to do to help that out. I've been looking into something like Acropower or AF Energy but I'm not sure what to actually go with. I'm thinking my nutrients are pretty low and maybe that's causing an issue? I played around with dosing a few nitrates, but I struggled to get readings higher than 5. I was using API, so I know I should get a better test, but I never got anything other than yellow and I didn't want to add a ton of nitrate all at once. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Parameters are pretty steady:

Alk 8.9 (Hanna dKH)
Ca 420 (Salifert)
Mg 1200 (Salifert)
1.026 (refractometer)
P04 .003 (Hanna ULR - literally 1ppb ((1*3.066)/1000))
N04 less than 5 (API)

do you know how much light your giving them. what kind of light are you using.

It's an older Chinese black box (BoostLED). Not full spectrum; just Blue, White, and UV. They are getting plenty of light so I don't think (that could be dangerous) that's the issue. Haven't used a true lux meter, but the lux app on my phone reads about 90k at the surface of the water, and the corals are about 6" under the water. Most are growing and encrusting pretty decent, but the colors aren't what they could or should be. Examples: BC Secale is pretty much a dull grey instead of purple/bule. Red Planet is a dull pink instead of green or deep red. Red Robin is more of a dull rust color. BC Pearly Cadaver body is brown, but the neon blue green highlights are still there.

Honestly, I'm at a complete loss as I have a few acros and milis that are have awesome colors and are growing fine, but some don't seem too happy, or at least they're not coloring up...
