I've seen this topic come up a few times recently: Is this hobby just too expensive? Why are all the youtube / instagram / etc. influencers always pushing expensive equipment to their viewers? etc.

Maybe some on here are familiar with aquaticbob, but I just found him and I wouldn't say he is is one of those "influencers", and I wouldn't say that he is particularly a "budget" channel, but he seems like a pretty cool dude. Here is his latest video where he goes over his equipment. Not completely on the cheap side of things, but a lot is very practical, like his lights he got second hand, etc. Plus, I think he's just a really nice guy and probably deserves more subs.

Yeah, I really like this guy’s channel and subscribe. He’s a little overly introspective sometimes, but I kind appreciate it. He’s got a lot of nice corals, but l like that he’s not all hypebeast about it. When he gets his shop opened up, or if he’s selling online, I’ll definitely hit him up.
