Regarding nutrients. Here’s my tank
Nitrate 1.1
Phosphate .02-.05
Sooo…low nutrients doesn’t always cause dead coral

Your tank looks like alkalinity issues. Has that been stable ?

Yes I check everyday with a Hanna checker. I’ve been so lost. As of right now I’ve been dosing neonitro and turned off my reefmat . My SPS been loving the low nutrients but my softies and LPS are suffering

My nitrate was undetectable but now it’s at 10 with the dosing .

Just to clarify a few things…

If your values are accurate, they are very different, and importantly higher than, undetectable levels, which is the concerning zone.

Even undetectable levels will not kill corals if they are getting sufficient N and P somehow (particulate foods, enough flux through low N and P levels, etc).

Undetectable nitrate and phosphate is an indicator that you MAY not have enough N and P availability, not that you must not have enough, while the accurate detection of nitrate and phosphate with a kit is an indication that there is enough.
