So what do you know about them? Anybody had them? Are they really from Africa oceans?

Be careful with these. They melt away real easy. 30+ polyp frag melted away to 2. I was able to save to polyps.

These are also called Caribbean Alien Eyes. A lot fo the Caribbean and African zoas/palys I hear melt away easy.

From what I have been hearing they like SPS conditions. Lots of light and lots of flow. I had a buddy that got a frag and they were melting until he put them in front of the powerhead. They stopped melting and started growing for him then.

Interesting. I've got a few double/triple polyp frags that have done well for the last month under screened lighting and low flow. They are already popping out babies. These were the scraps that fell off of a colony brought back by an LFS owner after visiting LA. I've only had them a short while, though.

yes I agree, these things are really hard to keep. I would have to say that they are the hardest.

Even in a lot of light and flow and light they still melt.

They are found in African water in shallow tide pools.

I am able to keep Caribbean zoas in these same conditions, high light and high flow. Actually, once they settle in they grow really fast and have great color.

We have been getting these in for the past couple weeks. All frags and colonies doing super well (1 1/2 feet away from 250w DE 14k Pheonix + sea swirl action). Out of the 50 plus frags we made, only 2 melted. Hardy for us here :)

We have several colonies also. With several frags cut up and healing. They are in our frag system about 2.5 feet away from 400w de 14k hamilton bulbs with high flow. We have not had any frags melt away.
