So I treated my tank with reef flux AKA fluconazone to treat some byropisis that I saw growing. Well its been over two weeks and my tank looked great a few days ago I started to notice a algae film growing on my sand bed and some frags I honestly cant ID it not sure if its dinos or some sort of red slime cause my sand is black. It appears that my tiger conch is eating it, my phosphates seem to be actually lower than normal 0.05 per hanna checker usually target around .10 its a zoa dominated tank, nitrates are between 1-5. Has anyone had this happen to them after treatment, not sure whats going on, now granted I have not done the 30% water change they recommend yet since I am waiting on new DI stuff to come in tomorrow can this be the remanence of the antibiotic? I did do a 10 gallon change last sunday. My tank is a 60 shallow with a 40 breeder, everything seems ok but closing up randomly due to the film getting on them.
