Agave? Magician? Random Morph?

Received this zoa in a trade, where the guy said he was tossing in a magician for me.... This doesn’t appear to be like any magician I’ve ever seen. The closest thing I’ve seen online is a ‘blue agave’ from some random German website

Just wondering if anyone has any input. Doesn’t seem to require much light and has already put out 2 baby polyps within 2 weeks.

Looks like something Legendary Corals calls a “zombie eye” I think or something similar to a TSA fire hawk haven’t seen a blue agave in person so I’m not sure but this is a morph I have been seeing a little more frequently lately

Seriously, at this point there are so many names for different zoas,palys, it almost doesn't matter. If u like it and it works for you, enjoy.

Oh yeah, I was just curious. I think the name and rename game can be ridiculous! At the end of the day, a cool zoa is a cool zoa.

Outside of magicians I don't bother collecting any of these, they all morph like crazy and present completely differently across aquariums. Nice piece all the same.

Not a magician. I would call it Salted Agave. White zombie is supposed to be majority covered in white.
Unfortunately these morphs are so over-named that they often get mixed up.

Not a white zombie. Looks like a salted agave morph to me. Not sure about how they came up with the colors they put into the “agave” line. @footgal called it a blue agave so that’s good enough for me. For reference you can see my white zombies in the forefront of this pic. The head on the right is typical of a white zombie, it’s mostly white. The one on the left leads more to a “seduction” or “salted agave” by looks even though it’s technically a white zombie also.

I agree with you that it’s definitely not a white zombie. All the seducts/agave/zombies look very very similar though so I understand that people get confused about the whole thing. This is a blue agave, it’s pretty dang close imo
