Im thinking of starting an aggressive tank, 45 gallons. I want to have some large clowns and a large anemone, besides that I'm open to suggestions. Can I fit a trigger? Anyone willing to offer some ideas?

Most aggressive fish are on the large side. Live aquaria suggests at least 125 gallons for a trigger. In a 45, centering the tank on a clown pair and anemone would be the way to go. Other fish would be complements to the clowns.

Waspfish or leaffish, canthigaster puffer, splendid dottyback, would be good 'aggressive' choices. A trigger would not be a good choice for a 45.

Thanks guys. I look into those and will start a build thread for this tank when the time comes.

What species of clowns? Might not be able to have any other fish in that tank.
