I currently have 3 fish...a damsel, clownfish, and a basslet. It seems like the basslet is a little aggressive towards the other two. It looks like the damsels tail got nipped.

What size tank? And you have 2 damsels, as a clown is technically 1. What is the other damsel?

What kind of Basslet? Were all the fish introduced at the same time? Have you tried rearranging rockwork to change territory?

What species of basslet? Some can be a little more aggressive than others. How long have you had all of them together? If one is a newer addition than there can be some vying over territory.

Basslets are usually not very aggressive, theywill chase a fish from their territory, usually a cave or overhang, though if the damsel stood it's ground it could result in a torn fin.

Usually once fish establish their pecking order aggression subsides.

Unless one fish is relentlessly chasing the other I wouldn't worry too much.

I looked online and it is saying it is a dottyback. The LFS had it marked as a strawberry basslet...

A Purple Dottyback, aggressive little guys ( was going to use another word ), might want to get it out of there. IMO they rank up there with the 6-line wrasse on fish to avoid unless its with equally aggressive fish.

I took it out and have it in a bowl is that gonna be okak until tomorrow afternoon when i go to the lfs?

Do you have a plastic container you can poke holes in to set in your tank so it gets circulation? I fear it'll die in the bowl or just jump out. An empty pop bottle with holes would even work.

Okay that's a great idea
