I bought my two clowns about a couple months ago at my LFS they where tanked together now the female is being aggressive and nipping at fins of the male I’ve done separation and didn’t work. Don’t know if I should rehome one back to my LFS or get a 3rd clown that’s bigger then and two I’ve got.

Just leave them...mine went through a bit of an aggression bout with each other. They are fine now.
Sometimes they are good and I just watched the female latch on to bottom fin of the male and swing him around lol

He has to do this weird like vibrating motion to show submission, that sucks tho llol
Yeah they have both done it I’ve looked all Into it. I’m just not sure how to go about it now like I can bring the male to my LFS and get a little bit larger female and go from there but currently it’s just happening over and over again with the male getting picked on

He’s definitely not fighting back the female is literally having fun picking on the male lol
Female is generally the larger and the aggressor. Lower lights a bit and you can try an old trick where you place a mirror at the tank and the female will focus on her look-a-like in the mirror and argue with it all night
If this does not work, you can give the female a time out in an acclimation box or sump while male relaxes a little and gets food/nutrition

They are relatively the same size one may be a little bigger but not a noticeable difference I tried separating but nothing changed lights are lowered may try the mirror deal but seems like that’s only a bandaid as they will eventually go back at it. Or the female will go back to pestering the male

Once in a while you get luky. My drop off tank has 7 clowns and large tank has 9 clowns and 4 of them are mated pair

Typically yes
Go home from work yesterday after 12pm early day off cleaned up glass on the tank left to go to my LFS to get some water came back an the male was done for the female was swimming around like she was the king. Killed my male clown .. checked all parameters good ph 0ppm nitrates 0ppm ammonia low nitrite no seen ick velvet or ANYTHING I was so upset .. I tried to do what I could separating the two the mirror trick and tried to let them hash it out but nothing worked I wasn’t expecting the male to go this fast like this. But I guess these types of things happen .. I’m gonna let the female cool off awhile before I introduce another. Do you have any recommendations on even if I should introduce another. Maybe a larger female. Should I get another Ocellaris or different type ?

Ive seen this before and that too bad. IMO, the female needs to go and start with a different pair.
