My clownfish have been very aggressive lately, any ideas on why? I had to separate them because I started seeing injuries.

They are around the same size but Ive had them for over 6 months and they have never fought. I bought them as a pair too.

yea if u bought them as juveniles even if they are a pair once they reach a age they will fight to establish dominance

Sometimes as the female matures and kind of ready to take to next level, possibly spawning soon, she may get weird w/ male while going through that transition, a possibility.

If you had them that long they are probably fine and just rehashing.
Usually when there is a real issue, like 2 females, or female rejecting a male, that usually happens right away.

As long as both are eating and no excessive fin tearing I'd ride it out.
Im worried because one of them is still recovering from jaw lock. I think I will wait a little longer until its fully healed.
