So I have a female phantom and male mochavinchi clownfish pair that I've had for 7 years. They have been with me in several different tanks and houses. They just got upgraded from a nuvo 40 to a reefer 350. They were by themselves in the 40 for 2 years and 3 months in the new tank I just added a few new fish at once hoping for a smooth transition. But they are relentlessly going for the blue eye bristletooth tang who's bigger then them, and when he's hiding they lightly chase the fox face. So far they left the three wrasses alone for the most part. I tried the mirror trick and and making sure they were well fed. Now the clowns are in the sump. How long should I leave them down there? And should I do anything else like redo the rock work??

Thanks in advance.

I'd let the new fish get settled in for a couple weeks before adding the clowns back. My clowns get pretty territorial over their corner of the tank. Once the new fish pick a spot they like in the tank and seem happy try adding the clowns back in. You could also try getting one of those QT containers that go in your display to let the clowns get used to their new tank mates but keeps them separated.

Ok cool I'll def keep them down for a few weeks let them and the tang heal up and everyone get comfortable. I'll try to get the biggest qt box I can.

Thanks
