Hello everyone. I wanted to ask why is it that suddenly my bigger clownfish turned against me? I thought they were peaceful fish.

Usually I do my water changes bi-weekly, and I have this pair of clownfish since september 2023. They were usually afraid as soon as my arm was inside the tank, but suddenly today I cannot even touch the water the big girl comes and tries to take a piece of my arm.

Sounds like your average clownfish lol
As she matures, she’s getting aggressive. The black morphs also seem to be meaner.
They are anything but a peaceful fish - I’ve basically given up putting my arm in the tank with my female unless I really have to.

Thank you guys.

I also had another question, why is my big Clownfish twitching always close to the small one, is it like a mating dance or something? I always get surprised by their behaviour.

Yes normal, had one that drew blood all the time. Also do you see any eggs?

Yes mating!

Thank you everyone!

A bit unralated but what kind of algae is this on my rocks? Should I address it with maybe snails or a fish that can eat it?

My cleaning crew is actually composed of two big Astrae Snails, one Nassarius snail and a Cleaner Shrimp. I used to have Hermits but they were munching on my torch, and I caught them red-handed.

I do see some white spots on my glass I can take a better photo tomorrow.
Agree with shark bait, those wouldnt be eggs. Sometimes they get super aggressive like that with eggs
