I didn't think Midas blennies were any more aggressive than most other blennies. Am I wrong? I purchased a tiny one, under 2", and tried to qt him with a purple fire fish in a 10g tank going through TTM. After the first transfer, I noticed them chasing each other a bit. But they both seemed equal in bullying. Both continued to eat. I had pvc hides in there, but both stayed out. After the second transfer, I noticed the firefish tail was a little frayed. I still didn't think it was too serious. They ate fine, but about 8 hours later, the firefish was dead. There were some red streaks on its side that were not present when alive. Could the Midas have killed him that quickly? It's been three days since the death and the blenny looks perfect. I'm not really sure how to proceed, or if I even really want this trouble maker in my DT. Any thoughts?
