Aglea brake out

Hey everyone so I've started my first 40g breeder about three months ago and have checked all wp and all are good but now I have a brown looking algea and green algea is that good or bad? Any info would be greatly appreciated

Brown in a new tank is probably diatoms and will pass. Green could be cyano, which will also pass.

It doesn't look to bad at all. One thing I wanna mention is unless you have a sump filled with live rock, you could use quite a bit more rock. Most important reason is for a robust biological filtration, thus a more stable environment and fish like lots of caves, passages etc... to cruise through, just chill and for sleeping quarters.

Great idea, the more the merrier. I have a very basic setup, no controllers, only a skimmer in the sump along with Marine Pure balls, rock and bags of carbon and phosgaurd. My dt is full of live rock and with the huge bioload of fish and corals I have all the rock is key (and very simple) to keeping the water prestine and the fish and corals happy.

That awesome one day hopefully mine will look like that lol!!! Anyways next month I am drilling the over flow box and putting a sump in to better help the tank right now am running a fluval 207 canister filter and two sow 4 wavemakers
