so I just got a 20gal tank and I bought an AI blade I plan on having corals in there including sps, I accidentally bought the glow instead of the grow. The main difference is the grow has white while the glow is violet and blue. Now my question is if corals need white to grow or if the violet and blue will do just fine.

Problem is they won't look all that good with out some white. I have the grow and it looks terrible with just the blue in i would think it would be worse with the glow

Yeah glow is made to get some additional iridescence pop as a secondary light, you’ll want to return it for a grow or add some form of supplemental whites

I just started a 40 B and found a deal on a Glow so I got that first and am shopping for the Grow so I can add white (and more) to the tank before long. Hoping AI has a good holiday sale! As far as coral health, I think the Glow will be fine. Some coral farmers openly only grow corals under the Blue spectrums. (Jason Fox?) Also, I'm running my light at a fraction of the intensity it's capable of, so PAR isn't an issue running the Glow. My Glow is doing great with my new tank and corals so far.

My vote would be to keep it and keep your eye out for a sale one the complementary Grow light. The 2 will also give you better coverage and less shading.
