I have an AI controller but the screen stays black when I plug it in. Does anyone know what might be the problem?

I've tried many different cords and plugins. I got it for free so no loss. I opened it up and everything looked clean, nothing broken or burnt looking.

Yea, it's hard to find stuff like that locally for sale. I'll probably go T5 hybrid down the road.

See if you can shine a flashlight at different angles on the screen, if you can see any images. Might just be the backlight that is out.

I will check that out. The controller is no longer running the schedule I set so I’m afraid it might be more serious.

So I shined a light on it and you can barely see the screen but it is on so I think the backlight is out. Is this something that is fixable? Possibly at like a cellphone or computer place?

In most things like that, the backlight is embedded within the LCD screen, so the screen would have to be replaced. Very few computer or cell phone repair places would attempt to repair it since they have a list of what phones they repair and a pre-determined method for replacement. If you were close to me, I'd have a go at it, but you might see if any tech or nerdy friends can look at it.
