I’m going to build a diffuser for my Hydra out of a textured fluorescent light cover and some acrylic rod. I’m going to glue 4-6 1.5” acrylic rods onto the cover that will be cut slightly larger than the hydra and then glue that to the hydra. Has anyone tried this? Anyone have any thoughts on it?

That guy seems to really like it. I don’t have a par meter so I will never know. I read somewhere you could lose 5 to 7 percent. That loss does not concern me because I only use my lights at 50 percent.

Maybe AI will make a diffuser sometime down the road. I liked the look of my light holding the panel underneath.

Final product! Ended up getting longer screws that hold the case on and using them to hold the fluorescent light cover.
