I have a RedSea Reefer350 that’s running great but would really like to know what the proper settings is for best PAR mixed reef mostly LPS

Right now I’m running from left to right UV thru Cool White 71%,71%,81%,81%,7%,7%,30% 3hr ramp up and 3 hour ramp down from 1pm to 12am

How many hydras do you have?
Do you have a par meter?

I like Saxby’s program. From the website above.

I have used Saxby with success and now trying NanoKaren's light profile from the AI site for more blue. Might want to consider experimenting some to get the best fit for your particular corals and viewing.

Don't mean to hijack the thread but how do you import other people's settings? Maybe I missed it but I don't see the option anywhere in the MyAI app. Right now I'm just using the factory settings but shifted the time on and time off and everything is happy.

Hopefully others with a reefer 350 will have some presets that work and have checked par levels.

My tank is a 24 cube with 2 hydras so would not really apply to your wider tank.

where are you? Sometimes reef clubs or other reefers may have a par meter you can borrow or rent.

Download light profile from AI or another source and then upload on your control panel using the "share" icon to the right of trash icon. Might want to use acclimation feature to slowly ramp up light power. Good luck.

Cool, thanks. I notice Saxby's settings are pretty high in CW. How do you like it? My whites are only at 10% for the whole program.

In addition to coral health, I think a main consideration in choosing a profile is how you like the display colors. I chose the NanoKaren because the more intense blues better "show off" the corals I have: euphyllias, goniphoras, cabbage leathers, ricordea and other mushrooms, and several species of open brain corals.

I like more white during the day. It really lets me see what’s going on in the tank. I turn white’s way down and use Blues at night when I want to chill and see coral fluoresce.

I think it’s personal preference. I see more tanks with blues nowadays but it’s just not my preference

I had no idea I could import settings. Thank you!!

One question... Is there any reason for the late start? I work from home and would rather have the lights come on earlier and turn off earlier since I'm often out during the evenings

I have now switched to the Saxby settings with some modifications and "slid" the profile to the left on my phone app to change start/stop times. Think start/stop times with ramp up depends on your preferences.
