A little background, I have a SCA 50 gallon reef (24x24x20). It's a mixed reef but my focus is on SPS corals. I was using one hydra 26 HD at 15k 80% setting for awhile. Light was centered about 12 inches above the water line. I noticed a lot of shading due to the center source of light. It's a rimless tank and I'm looking for a simple look. I decided to buy a second Hydra 26 HD to have 4 points of light. Seems there is better coverage now.

So now to the question, Settings and mounting. Right now the lights center of pucks are 9 inches a part and 10 inches above the water line. Is there anyone using a similar setup? Advise and experiences are welcome.

Following this. I also am interested in settings and what growth. Looking at one 26hd for a sps dominated lagoon 25 wondering if this will be enough light for whole tank

I just purchased two of these bad boys two nights ago. Wow these things are nice!!
Now that you do have two, I'd probably recommend acclimating the corals. While it may seem harmless adding a second light, the same fixture and same settings, with even more of that light you could be blasting your corals.
While I JUST bought these and haven't had time obviously to see how my Acros like it, I'm running my lights 8" away from each other, 11" off the water. So a lot like your setup.
I'm coming from T5, so I'm currently acclimating.

following along.
I was also wondering about this as well. Have been thinking to try out one Hydra 26 on my Elos 70 tank but wasn't sure one would be enough.
