I have a dsa neo 105 that measures 48 length 24 deep and 18 tall I've been reading and reading and still notI closer to my decision. I plan on going sps dominant. I've been told that I can go with either the 26 or the 52. I want to do this once and but the correct model. I plan on using 2 lights only . I have seen success with using the 26 but it seems I would need more that 2 to achieve great coverage. Is the 52 a better choice I know I wouldn't need to crank them up I feel the 26 might have to work really hard. See. I'm flip flopping lol help!!! Thoughts opinions ??!!!! Thanks

edit ** hydra HD not old style hydra

This is an easy decision, 2 Hydra 52 HD's! You've got a 4 foot tank and its 24" deep. These lights will be able to grow anything and everything anywhere in the tank. Of course the 26's will too, but like you said, they'll have to work harder.
You'll also get much better coverage with the Hydra 52's.

I went Hydra 26's for my SPS 36" tank. I'm only 20" deep too, so slightly shallow.
Also my aquascape is only 24" so I feel 2 Hydra 26 HD's were sufficient enough, I'll had a 3rd if I need to when corals get too large.

Why only 2 fixtures? They have good looking mounting options for more.

Especially with the tank being really shallow I would try and fit 3 or more 26s on there personally. The 52 pack a punch, with the tank being shallow your going to have to mount them quite high or have some wicked hot spots trying to get that spread.
