Anyone tune their new hydras in already and get some good coloration out of em? id like to swap some preset settings with some of you to try some different looks. These hydras are new to me as Ive had old leds on my tank for about 8 years so im trying to find the sweet spot color and growth wise for a nice mixed reef.

You can text email or whatsapp these setting i guess.

let me know!

Eddy

I asked over in BRS's forum but haven't gotten a response. Since the new lights have extra leds the spectral output I would guess is different

Having last a version Prime HD and now a new build with dual Hydra 32's. The profiles form the old do not compose over to the new lights well. I just took a screen shot of my AB+ and just made that schedule on the new Hydras. Has been running for a week so thats really all the feedback I can give. Corals are opening up and adjusting.

I'd like to see what people are running as well. I have a pair of the new prime HD's and have been playing around with the schedule on a newly built system.
I am new to AI lighting and the my AI app, so the programming format is new to me.

Any word on this yet I have 1 in the mail an have been using black box for years

Is there a way to share light schedules like the older lights where you can just download?

Or do you need to manually set them up yourself now?

In alignment with others here. Just got them and put in the BRS AB settings for the Hydra 52 and looks pretty good but that’s as far as I have made it. Question though in the moon lights, what is everyone using for those?

Here is what I have been using for a while now if you have not found anything you like yet. Had it on the prime HD’s and moved it over to 16hd flawlessly. Corals happy and growing. Basically just tweaked saxbys setting for less whites

This is my AB+ program. Works well for me. Corals look amazing. I do heavy blue in late evening for crazy glow. I run moonlight (warm white) at 100%, as this is a total of 1 led per puck. I feel this really adds to the overall spectrum.

Interesting. How deep is your tank? Looks like it’s a short max duration during the day? How do you run the moon lights at night?

60cm deep (24 inches). I run night moonlight at 2% (standard moonlight setting).

And yes, short max peak. I’m running 2x 64HDs on a 4 foot tank

I may have to shorten mine or extend the ramp up and down. I have a 60x26x24 running the lights a little over 12 inches above the water.

Hows your algae growth in your opinion? I have been told to turn down my UV to 10% because it will cause you a bit more clean up on the glass.
