I think I misspoke. They are Hydra 26Depends on what you are trying to accomplish.
They do not give the par output in 2D for the hydra 32 but I looked at the hydra 24 and at 18”, it gave pretty good coverage at 24 by 24 with a par of 250 at the fringes. Two in your tank would do a 4 by 2 foot 120 gallon tank. But that is at full power. Three fixtures would allow you to back them off of full power giving better life. Three hydra 32 should be more than adequate.
In my aquarium, which is 6’ by 3’, I have 3 hydra 26 and 3 hydra 52 and I have plenty of light. My LPS corals are happy even at the bottom of the tank at 27”. My montipora and birds nests do great. My acropora have enough light. And I do not run my lights at full blast. LED lights tend to be directional and shaded parts of my acros do not grow making them a bit funny looking. I have been toying with the notion of adding 3 more hydra 32s just to give a smoother coverage by having overlap for the acros.
Right now, I have about 12 LEDs per square foot. You have just about the same. You might think of adding three primes so you would have 2 rows of lights affording overlapping coverage. But you probably do not NEED more lights.
Did you ever add a 4th one? I think I would add a T5 instead of a 4th over a 120.I currently have three Hydra 32 lights on my 120 gallon tank. It was recommended to add a 4th one. Do you guys agree?
Yep I picked up a old brand new Auqalight Pro for $50.00 original price $1200.00. I pulled out the 2 M.H. and C.F. and replaced with new 32hd and 2 double T5. Almost no modifications had to be done.+1 for adding t5. I love my 26hd but love it even more after supplementing with t5 for part of the day.
