has anyone attempted to mount two hydra32hd's on the (https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/multi-light-hms-track-aqua-illumination.html), but instead of the arm mounts (https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/hms-multi-light-mount-kit-aqua-illumination.html), you used the arm mounts from the (https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/hms-single-light-mount-kit-aqua-illumination.html)?

these rails/arms are expensive, but i've sourced a used rail from soneone locally and was curious if i could just use the arms from the single hms mount as i have two already.

edit: if this belonged in the lighting forum, please move the thread there!

Probably. Other than looking different aesthetically on the sides, I don't see why it wouldn't work.
this is what i thought as well, but the seller isn't doing a refund so i would like the second opinion of the forum before i buy it.

Are you trying to suspend from the ceiling? If so, you would just need the rail, cables and mounts. I'm probably not understanding the end goal. ;)

not trying to hang the lights. i am trying to mount them from the tank. was asking if the HMS mounts(the ones that singly mount the hydra's) work with the rail for the multi light fixture. not sure if this made more sense, or made things worse o_O
