Probably the max to get the spread. I believe the Max has a bit more power so you can mount it higher to get good spread. Personally I would look at 3 units on a five foot tank.

I've only ran the Hyrda 26 Hd's.
Nice light but the 80 degree narrow lenses was a killer for myself and could not get the front to back spread that I wanted.
