I have been following several threads on the use of AI Hydra lights and there seems to be a real lack of what the tank sizes are as well as the type of corals being kept in them.
My tank is a mixed reef favoring LPS and softies. There are several different types of Montis and a little bit of acro too.
Systems that are less than 30inches deep use the AI Hydra lights. Over 30 inches, use the AI Hydra 52 lights. Use one module for every 2 square feet of tank bottom dimensions.
I have a standard 125 gallon tank- 6 ft long, so 3 AI Hydra lights.
Ht of lights from the water surface is 12 inches.
The lights come on at 9:30 am Ramp up time is 4 hours.
Ramp down for 4 hours starting at about 6 pm.
the light color settings are;
W 30
V 35
R 25
