I am setting up a new 65 gallon AIO tank. I have decided, and already purchased a pair of AI hydra 32's. I have had great success with the single 26 in a smaller tank so I feel that a pair of these would be great also. I have looked, and looked for mounting options but it seems that all the AI options leave a whole lot to be desired. I considered hanging them the the AI hanging rail kit but not too sure if this is what I want. I think the height should be between 12-14". Being that the tank is AIO I did not want to use the single mounts since the clamp would take up valuable space in the "sump" area. Any input or suggestions would be appreciated.

Made these copper mounts.
Mounted to wall.
Cost maybe 40 bucks or less each to make including a soldering kit.
Cheaper if you already have one.

I have 2 hydra 26 over my 40 breeder, the arm is 3/4 EMT conduit painted black and attached to the stand with uni-strut. Origionally I had a much larger light hanging off it which is why it is a bit to long and also why it isn't level, the old light was heavy enough to pull it down.

I appreciate the advice and the pictures. It does give me ideas and I have never thought about sweating some copper to make this.

If you do, make sure to clear coat it with some clear spray paint and let it cure for a week or so.
Keeps the copper from oxidizing and the danger of toxic condensation drops from landing in your tank if the mount decides to perspire :)
