I don't have a Nero 3 (yet), but in tank flow will depend on several factors including aquascaping, corals, other livestock, substrate, and more. The Nero 3 should work well in your tank - you may want to start with a lower setting where it points across the back of the tank at a medium or low height and then move it around from there. I have 2 Nero 3’s on my 32... since I upgraded my pump to a Sicce 1.5 with dual return nozzle I have a lot of flow coming from the left side.
I run:
left side on pulse mode .5 sec on .5 off pushing 30% from 11:00am-11:00pm, and 10% from 11:00pm-11:00am
right side is constant 35% 24 hours a day
