AI Nero 3 placement suggestion

I have been running the Nero 3 on my 7.4g tank for about 3 months now. I absolutely love the pump but even at 1% I’m still getting about 650gph of flow which is a lot to directly blast my corals with. Any recommendations on where I could place the pump that’s different from my current placement? Should I consider maybe changing my aquascape?

I’ve been keeping SPS. They were doing well with the current placement but I lost most of the pieces due to a sudden nutrient issue

I have a 15 cube. I put my 3 right under the overflow on the left. My idea is that the return is acting as a “constant” flow in 1 direction and the 3 then pushes opposite that. My favorite setting is pulse mode, time on/off 0.25 and int of 50%.

I like that idea. Maybe I’ll move it over a little and do a very short pulse sequence at slightly more power

Mine is off-center and does the random flow for most of the day. Goes to constant 15% at for roughly 2 hours in the middle of the night. Might not be able to tell, but it is aimed almost directly at the RFG on my return.

This is also my placement, almost. My 15g Peninsula is barebottom and I have the pump very low to the bottom of the tank.

I will try out pulse. Thanks for sharing this.
