AI Prime 16 HD or Noo Psyche K7 v3

What do you think would work better on a waterbox 25? It's 24"x16"x16". For a mixed reef. Thanks

The K7 v3 is a much stronger light than an AI Prime 16HD. The Noopsyche K7 Mini is stronger than a Prime (60 watts vs 55 watts, respectively). K7 v3 is much cheaper than a Prime as well. The K7 v3 is currently on sale for $160 + $30 bracket. That is hard to beat. I think Prime is best for an 18" x 18" footprint. K7 v3 should work better for your 24" footprint.

What are you losing by going Noop? Well, the app is inferior to myAI, but it's better than other budget lights. Some people have difficulty with wifi connectivity, but the AP mode seems to always work fine, and with a single light that's usually not an issue. Also a lot of users here who have them and are happy to support each other. Make sure to buy directly from Noopsyche so that there are no roadblocks in getting direct support.

My suggestion is K7 v3 for your tank. You can grow anything with that light. I have 3 K7 minis over my 36" x 15" display (had one previously, won one, so obvious choice was a third), and I hit 300-350 par on my rocks and 200 on the sand bed without hitting 50% of the lights' power.

I forgot to mention, a better comparison for the K7 v3 would be an AI Hydra 32, but I don't have experience with that light.
