My goal is for a clean design so I opted for the fixed mount and not the flex. Oddly the fixed mount design is engineered in the manner that requires the top sliding rail to extend way back in order to center the prime over a shorter depth tank, like my new IM nuvo 20. I don't want the tank/stand further away from my wall and it's current placement would put the prime way to far forward, so my question is; short of cutting the excess metal rail and painting the raw edges, what options are out there? Any other ways to rig this or any other rails that better fit a small tank?
(I have no idea why they didn't design the horizontal support longer so the sliding horizontal rail has more range of movement forward and aft without overlap)
