Anyone using one of these as their refugium light? I know that kessil has proven itself in this arena, and after i add a gooseneck to the prime they are about equal in price. But would be kinda nice to control all my lights from one app.

Asking because i killed my current refugium light.

If I had to decide between the two, I'd go with the H160 without questioning it. I even have two Prime HDs over my display. For the reasons 1) I don't need to control my refugium light with an app, I want a set spectrum and I use my Apex to control the power to it, 2) I think the Prime FW misses out on important 400-410nm light which chlorophyll A absorbs, 3) the Prime FW has too many LEDs outside of the spectrum chlorophyll A and B absorb, and 4) related to number 3, I don't have a display refugium but a nutrient consuming chateo factory with no need for it to be white.

Just compare a chlorophyll absorption spectrum chart to the spectrum of that Kessil. I believe that's a similar argument BRS makes for the Kessil.

Yea 2 separate animals
H160 is a hort. light
AI can be dialed in to be close but you are wasting a lot of output, minus the low blue of course.
Not sold on the "need" of UV for your use though

Personally, both are overkill for most...
