Question - is the one LED burned out? The picture looks as if the diffuser has a hole in it from what I see but not sure.

Great question! I honestly did not even notice that until I took it off today and took photos (I assume then it wasnt effecting performance). I am going to hook it up and go through each channel and then repost anything I find out!

this is a known defect from ai, all of mine have it and ai denied it was a known defect.

Never knew about this! Can you explain? How does it effect performance

it changes the uv/violet channels, I have lots of leds from different brands and this is the only one that melted the lense. Mine still worked but the color was off/different so I shipped them back hoping they would replace because this not normal wear and tear and I considered it a defect, they only offered 40 percent off a new one. I didnt want to buy a new light and would run them till they die so they shipped me back 2 lights that were opened up and did not work anymore. They also denied they broke my lights.

Great thank you for this. Maybe I will call tomorrow and see what they could do for it, even though I never saw it affect the color/spectrum

they will most likely only offer you 40 percent off a new one if its outside the 1 year warranty.

they also keep your old light, so if youre not interesting in giving them your old light and getting a new discounted light that could potentially have the same problem save yourself the time and shipping cost
