Sorry in advance if it's been beaten to death, this salt game is new to me. I've been tinkering around with my AI, just messing with colors and stuff, this lil thing is cool. What I'm looking for is a "Dummy" guide on setting it up, what the settings mean, my needs, length of time the light should be on and off. When I finally get the tank up and running it's going to be as simple as I can keep it, LPS, and Softies and few fish and CUC. Can anyone point me in the right direction to an "AI Guide for Dummies"?
Thanks.

Watch the brs TV video (youtube on led lights they did one on the ai prime.
I fiddled for while. Probably caused myself issues then settled on what they discovered as close as possible for my tank.
Playing will just ****** your growth unless you fluke the right settings

Thanks, I'll give them a look. My tank isn't wet yet, I was just messing around to see what it can do. TY.

What size tank is it?

As for scheduling a 10-12 hr photoperiod works best with an hr or two he ramp up and ramp down.

This is my schedule for a 20G lps tank. Is a good mix between the saturated blue most like and a crisp white.

I have a 20 Gallon JBJ Cube on the way. Settings are interesting, I'll keep those in mind, I'm sort of looking for a comprehensive guide as in step by step. TY

what corals do you want to keep

Great stuff to get you started above. I personally tried one of the presets (you can find/download them here: https://www.aquaillumination.com/lightsciences/signature-series). I went with Saxby. These are a good place to start as they have a proven track record and are endorsed by the brand. You can use them as a jumping off point for customizing your settings too. After running Saxby in default for some time, I increased the intensity (slide two fingers up on the setting) a bit for better coloration in my acros. He runs a fleet of Hydras over his 3,170 gallon tank, so the single AI over my nano just wasn't getting quite the same intensity of light as his reef. Karen Vazquez has a 28g cube with a single AI Prime - her settings might be a good starting place for you (also available at the above link).

If you search on facebook, they probably have an owners group for your tank. They'll almost certainly be discussion around AI Prime settings for your specific reef.

@jfoahs04 I was checking those out, what program do you use to open them.
I'm not sure what type of phone you have, but on an iPhone, you just tap "download" in Safari. Tap the "download" arrow (little blue arrow in the URL/Search bar) to see the file. Tap the .AI file and you'll see the "share" button in the top right. Tap that, and you should be able to choose the AI app from the options (if not, you need to scroll to the right, tap "more" and choose the AI app for default actions). Now it's available in your presets on the AI app.

When you open the AI app and enter your light settings, tap the star button and choose "Select Preset." The file you downloaded should be listed. Select it and you're all set. Here's a link on how to do it if that's confusing: https://support.aquaillumination.co...554-AI-Light-How-to-Select-and-Import-Presets
