Do you use the mounting bracket or the gooseneck? I have heard and seen some bad reviews about the gooseneck.I run a Prime HD on a 24x16x13 and I think it's perfect! Any longer and I might need 2.

Well I think instead I will go with the AI Hydra Twentysix HD. Lol
No mostly shrooms and zoas for nowAre you planning an SPS tank?

Is the prime only rated for a 12" high tank?I run a regular Prime on a standard 10g. It's 20" long and it provides great coverage. 24" would probably be stretching it a little but if you don't have high light corals on the edges you should be fine. If you're going for sps end to end, I'd say 2 would be more appropriate.
Ok thanks lolI think a hydra 26 might be overkill if you aren't planning a SPS heavy tank. Just my 2 cents though. Lol

Do you think it would be a disadvantage if the lights were overkill, but you simply lower the intensity?Ok thanks lol
I think AI claims it's good for an 18" cube. I have plenty of power left to bump it up if need be and you'd have even more with an HD.Is the prime only rated for a 12" high tank?
