AI Prime Light

I used cheap Chinese LEDs for about a year and pretty much was standstill for awhile. I have switched to the AI Primes and have started getting new heads on my acans and my hammer has grown two heads and zoas just look better in general. I have used t5's in the past. They worked great but they didn't have the look I wanted for my aquarium. You can't beat the shimmer the LED's give. I will never use a metal halide because of cost and heat. I am going to add two t5 retrofit when I switch my tank over to the Nuvo 30 long with my 2 AI Primes and run 2 blue plus bulbs. I do believe that's what a lot of people are going to end up doing because T5 has a great history of growing coral and eliminating shadows.

I am excited to see how the combo lighting works because people are really liking their Hybrid combo. I just don't have the cash flow to spend $2k on a hybrid unit.

Right now I have the 2 AI primes on my 29 Biocube about 10 inches off the water. I really could use the one AI prime but I wanted to set them up and link them just so I had it figured out for when I switch.

Awesome, that is exactly the kind of review I was looking for. Thank you!

I too am running these lights on my 20 tall and they are amazing. Im running 28 uv; 38 v; 100 db; 100 b; 25 g; 17 dr; 30cw. I also run 5% blue and dark blue all night. I have only had the lights for a month and did acclimate my coral using the acclimation mode built into the app. All my zoas, lps, mushrooms and anemone open up real nice under these lights and I have noticed nice growth in my green star polyps considering that it has started sprouting heads like crazy.

Hi there new to the reef keeping. I have had my prime for a month now on a 55 gal setup. Im just woundering if any one has night time settings for it cause the lunar setting makes some of my corals hide and others stay out. Now heres the newbi question is that susposedto happen. The ones that close are my elegance and one out of my three frogspons. I want light at night time when im home so any help
