So looking for some help. For the life of me I cannot figure out how to schedule my lights to have a break midday. I’m looking to have the break so that the lights will be on longer in the evening for my son.

Hoping to do 8-12pm then 4-8pm. This app is either terrible or I am really being dense about it.

I would suggest to run the lights 12hr from 8 to 8 and also us the lunar mode and set one blue to 1% when the light are off the 12 hour cycle.

Sounds good. If you don’t mind me asking why is this the recommendation. I’m new to this so trying to gain new knowledge as well.

The reason for the thought is I had read on new tanks this can break the algae growth and help it not get out of control. No clue if that is true though haha

This is an internet forum, so you will get dozens/hundreds of opinions and prefernces, you need to sort out what works best for you. I dont keep lunar lights on, I feel no need. i'm not right or wrong, its just my preference.

Its not really possible to avoid algae IMO, it will come sooner or later. The best you can do is educate yourself on what feeds it, then practice prevention

But to answer your question, I've also tried to set up 2 seperate schedules with AI, I've never figured it out.

Oh yeah. I know but that’s ok. Really all the opinions are ideas to maybe give a shot.

As for this app I guess that you couldn’t figure it out makes me feel better haha. I might give them a call just out of sheer curiosity to see what they tell me. I’m not expecting much though.

You should be able to just add another set point and start a new schedule.
Agreed. But when you do that it connects the two schedules with a slow turn down based on how long is between them. If you go through the easy setup and pick a different window it replaces the already existing schedule entirely.

Try at the end of your first schedule at 12 pm to zero out all of your light intensity then start your new time point

You just have to make a few set points then you can work it out. I was able to make a little view for you in my schedule.

Ahh I think I see now. I need more set points to be able to drag more spots. I’m out for Easter at the moment but will give it a go when I get home. Thanks everyone!

Look on the BRS YouTube channel and they have an EXCELLENT AI Prime video. I’ve had nothing but AI lights for the last 7 years and I have no complaints. I have a mixed tank with everything from acros to leathers. Just remember, once you set them up the Where are you? You like them don’t mess with them again. I have PC Rainbows and Walt Disney acros growing under them.

Agreed so far the lights themselves are great!
