My corals are happy and growing. Should I leave it be or is the maxspect a better light?

Do not get a maxspect razor, I had repeated trouble with mine and horrible customer service from coralvue.

I've acquired it..I picked up a setup that had some really nice things

Better is subjective to you and your tank much more than to the light.

If you need a brighter light and the Razor is brighter, then yes it's better. (For example.)

That said, if your corals are happy and growing, it's rarely a sign that you need to go changing things! :)

I say keep on keepin on with what you have.

Maybe share a tank pic if you want a second opinion?

I like my Maxspect R420r 16k 160watt. The only issue I had was with the stock lenses. The stock lenses are junk and fog over. I replaced them with the 120 lenses and my corals seem to like them better.

The stock lenses are 90º mostly cuz of the mounting height of the built-in feet. And so far I haven't had that issue with mine. Do you use the built-in legs, or happen to have yours mounted somewhat closer to the tank?

I think I got my Razor not too long after they came out...I know I posted in the first impressions thread...and I have had one part go near-dead on mine ($80)...so they haven't been perfect. I'll have to call you the first time I bump into perfect. ;)

If you may recall this is what happened to my stock lenses.
