Understood, do you like the AI app? I found pretty nice other than I could only access from my home..

In this size, I’d probably choose the ai 16 hd, due to the more compact profile, and the assumption that AI has fixed the lenses melting issue. Nevertheless either light will do.

Which Kessil should I go with if I choose that route?

I like the app but it was hard for me to figure out how to get it to turn off lol. yes with only having bluetooth/only can set from home agreed. its the baddest light my reef vase has ever seen, immediate boost in sps growth seen in one week compared to my aging kessils. slight bump in reds makes my monti pop, its great and runs very very cool.

Today i like the 360x, smaller profile, but this will be more light than you‘ll ever need on the size tank you describe. Oh the choices. The AI will be half the price and i think you’ll be more than satisfied with the AI 16 HD.

How’s the area were the tank will reside? Is height an issue?

Sounds like a very nice improvement. I cannot speak to the Kessil 160. I’ve been very happy with both the AI’s and the Kessil 360’s.

No space is not an issue really, with the prime the tank should be pretty lit up in terms of not a lot of shadow

This choice will leave you more money for corals and fish. Goodluck with your tank. The IM tanks are fantastic, I’ve really enjoyed my AIO, the shallowness makes it really easy to maintain and target feed, etc.

I use this lighting schedule for the AI’s, lights are 7” above water level. Tank is 13” tall and 30” long.

I have seen Some mixed reviews on the prime and while they were all mostly good I was just trying to figure out for those of you that have it if you have good results and if you have had any problems? Thanks.

I came here for help and to see if anyone else has this issue….almost every other day my 16 throws a fan fault. And the light constantly turns on/off until I shut it completely down take it apart, clean it, and put it back together. Mind you when I take the top screen off to get to the fan….it’s spotless. Anyone else had a fan fault issue?

Fortunately for me, I have not seen this error message. My AI’s have been in operation since April 2018. My only complaint was the melted lenses, which AI made good. Have you contacted AI?

I haven’t. I bought it and let it sit for longer than the 30 days while I was piecing my tank together so I can’t register it for the warranty (I think). Is their customer service decent?
