Curious on thought if this could work? I was gonna get some reef strip lights like xho or reefbrites; but had a couple lights got this to work pretty good getting really good spread and color out of the way the lights are setup they will run for a period of time 10 hours and then mh for 6 hours for the back bone.

Are they fill lights for the MH’s? That’s a lot of light! Otherwise, it looks like you have good coverage. I used to do this with a pair of Kessil 150’s. If the MH’s are not going to be used then your 3 may not have the penetration to reach the sides or corners for anything but softies and low light LPS.

They are really there so I can view the corals and see how they are doing, more of a supplemental ramp up and down, they turn off when the metal halides come on, this makes it so I don’t have to run the metal halides all day but a short full intensity period, only place I see that has and issue is under the overflow drain and return but nothing is back there everything else is lit up
