Ai primes on 120 sps dominant reef?

Hi friends hope all is well, as the title states I am wondering if it would be effective to put ai primes over my new build. Its a 120 4x2x2 that will have 4 t5s, 2 on either side of the leds.
I have 2 ocean revive fixtures that came with the tank, the problem is that they are so wide its going to push the t5s all the way to the front and back of my canopy that will be sitting on the tank.
So I was really considering using the noopsyche k7 pros since they are only about 7" wide bit they are nearly impossible to get from anyone stateside as of late. I was going to put 3 noopsyces over the tank.
Now I am considering using the primes and getting 3 to start out with and then adding a fourth later on down the road. Will a 24" deep tank with sps mostly work with ai primes and 4 t5s?

It should work alright. SPS may need to be carefully placed until you get the 4th Prime. The primes are a good light and can punch pretty deep, but you won't have the greatest coverage with only 3 of them. The T5's will certainly fill in the gaps pretty well, but a 4th prime will complete the combo.

Sounds great. These lights will be mounted 11"-12" above the tank, you think that will be fine for the penetration of the primes?

I got 3 prime 16 going over 36 inches, I think for really good coverage you are gonna need at least 4-6 lights. The cool thing is that can keep adding as needed or cost dictates. You still will be doing better cost wise compared to the other big names. There are cheeper options and you could maybe make do with just 4 but these lights are problem free and work very very well. They grow the heck out of some corals.

Thats exactly all the reasons to go with these lights. I know they are tried and true as well they are easier to afford for me than the 370.00 for the hydra 32s or any other name brand lights out there!!

Totally! The primes are strong enough they just don’t cover enough. You fix that by having 4 and spaced correctly and you can get way Better spread than 2 32’s

Trust me I understand! I have 5 x Hydra 26HD over my 180g. Not an easy pill to swallow.
