I have a 24 gallon nano cube mixed reef. LPS on the bottom and Sps up top lit with a sol blue. LPS look amazing and so do some of my SPS but I know some of my SPS could look better. I have no bleaching but some are a tad brown. My po4 and NO3 are zero so I know that isn't it. I'd like to hear and see pics of people's success with the light. I know these lights are par monsters but most of the time I read that people are keeping there intensities 60% and above. I like a deep blue 20k look, open to any suggestions. Thank you in advance.

I had the same problem with the Sols. They use cool white LEDs so there is not much yellow and red. Which mean your SPS will not reflect much yellow and red. Seems only the SPS show this though. The LPS all look great under them.

@koletang

Thanks for the input. My problem really isn't bringing out pinks or reds. Those colors are fine in my opinion. I'm more asking about how high do people keep their intensities. Again, thank you for responding.

One piece of information that is important is how high you have the Sol from the waterline. I have mine at 10"...and I run my Sols at W-52 RB-56 B-56. It is more of a 10-14K look. I think I need to work mine up even higher, but I am in the middle of an upgrade...so I'm going to wait until I'm done with that to experiment more.

@TruRacr314

Do you have any pics? What are you keeping? With those numbers, are you getting good color?

Here's a link to my thread on here...haven't kept up with it well, but at least there is a couple of pictures.

The color is pretty good....I like my tank a little whiter than most. In the evening it goes to more blue to bring the colors out. My corals didn't seem to show much growth until I hit above 50%...now they seem to be taking off. I keep mostly LPS, but getting more into SPS right now. For me, the Sols are almost too adjustable! That is a great thing if you know how to use it...I really don't. I get caught up more with what looks good as opposed to what's healthiest for the reef. I have played around with PAR readings, but it's hard to compare them to other lighting because even the manufacture of the meter states that LEDs read differently. Right now mine is sitting at about 300 at the surface and 100 on the sand.
