I know there older and there are way newer and nicer ones out there, but a tank set up Im looking at has a pair of these with the controller.

Are these decent lights for a mixed reef? I would love to supplement them with a few t-5's so this way I have the best of both worlds.

I know if they turn on which they do they will work but I wanted to just get some input on them.

They are great, I used them for a while. I like them a lot.

I think AIs are still great. They are really powerful, the highest settings I’ve been using is 35%, and my corals have been growing like crazy. Even though it’s old, it still provides a good light spectrum. Remember, it used to be one of the best LED lights.

They are the original LED workhorse IMO. They really kicked off the LED revolution in reef lighting. I agree with adding some T5s however, a little spectrum diversity would be beneficial!
