Well, i have posted about my LED lighting (2 Radions over my Deep Blue 75 rimless). My tank has slowly drifted more towards zoas/palys and chalices. So, to keep everything happy my lighting levels are turned down power wise, as well as the amount of whites, reds, and greens. Now dont get me wrong, i love the Radions, i really do...However, i'm still waiting for a MAC program from them, and i think i bought the Cadillac when a Chevy would have been just fine. So, im looking to the community here to help with personal opinions, and thoughts. And, who knows, maybe a buyer for 2 7 month old Radions..LOL Thanks Paul

True. But im thinking i got options that i dont need...Thats more the thoughts or ideas im looking for

Well the sols v radions differ in spectrum and in that respect the radions are likely better. AI Vegas are more like the radions. AIs are my pref.

Well I can't speak for radions as I don't have then nor have I run them, but I love my ai's.

All im using is 75-95% blue and 15% max white.....So, the added colors arent doing me any good...

i would wait till after macna to see if radions will have a price reduction as ai sol dropped when radion came out.. i like that you have 20 channels on the vega compared to 5 on the radion.

Even still...at 650..they are a bunch more expensive than the AI.... Not saying they are not worth it, but for my tank, they are over kill.

I like the versatility of the radion I am getting two for my tank to replace my halides and chiller :) I have seen the AI on a few tanks and I dont like the color of just blue and white. When I saw a radion on a tank I knew it was what I wanted. The radion was also designed to be upgradeable as the software improves AI does not have this option. Even the hardware on the radion fixture was designed to be upgradeable as the technology advances which is what sold me. Rather than buy an AI now and in two years buy another one when they really dial in a software program and better leds I can just buy the radions now and get free software upgrades and when new pucks come out I can switch as I please. Versatility really sold me.

Either full spectrum(radion) or not(ai sol)...personally I have DIY with a full spectrum and my tank looks better than any tank I've seen with ai's or any other blue/white only led. Jmo

I've had both now and the main thing I like better about the Radion is the overall color and the software. I really like that the Radion has preset color temperatures and is very easy to program. I found the AI kind of hard to program at first. I'm still fairly new to the bobby and have never had anything but LED so without the years of seeing what T5 and MH are supposed to look like it was very difficult for me to dial in the AI to a spectrum that was both aesthetically pleasing but also good for coral growth. For me it just made it very simple. I was so frustrated with my own inability to get the AI set in right sweet spot that I almost abandoned LEDs all together to try a MH T5 combo.

Bang for the buck though between the two I think AI wins and I have seen people with AIs who know what they are doing really grow some amazing reefs. For me though I am more than in love with my Radion and have no intention of switching any time soon.

Ai Vegas come out this month I think. I'd hold out to see those before you decide. They are fully upgradable, wireless, and wide range of colors.
