New to sw. Just had a sol white donated to me by a friend any suggestions tips or tricks? Can't seem to get any info on the website. Also any recommendations on how high to hang above my 20 gallon... Approx 20" long by 12 deep" ?? Expecting some Mushrooms. Polyps and anemone next week..

Before you hang it. Turn it on over the tank and find a spot wher it covers the tank edge to edge. That's the height.
I'd bet it's 16 in or so.
Me I pulled most of the lenses and hung the lamp closer to the tank keeping the spread even.
At full with lenses at 100% it's brighter than the sun at 12 in. So 3o% at 16 or 18 in is prob good. You won't need much power in a shallow tank.
