Hey fellas, I'm interested in getting an AI sol. I'll be using it on a 24x24 cube. Sps and Los dominated. What are your thoughts? Will this have good spread? Will it be enough for sps? Is it worth the money?

One of them will be plenty of power. Depending on your rock configuration you could get enough spread. More than enough power. Most people cant run them past 50% power for too long.

Great that's good to know. Btw what percent was that. It spit out gibberish

Can you order them with the 70 degree lenses? or is that an after market change?

On a local forum I heard 2 sol fixtures need to cover a 24x24x area. Is this true?

i keep one on a 24x24x12 and it provides enough coverage for my lps and sps. I have seen two on the same size and it does look better with less shadows.

I run my single fixture at 35 percent max right now. I do ramp up the blues higher though.

These things are amazingly bright and the best bang for your buck.

I had one on a 24x24. it was fine. Stock optics are fine as well. No need to change. The only think I found is that I ran them at higher percent than most have posted. About 75 80 % white and the blues about 50 to 60 % rb and blue.

I have 2 over a 60" long 100G set parallel with the tank and 12" above the waterline and its plenty of light for any corals.

Thanks fellas. You helped me quite a bit! I gonna pick one up. Now I have to see who has the best deals.

AI has MAP pricing so I doubt you will find a $5 savings anywhere. It will probably come down to who has them in stock more than likely.
