AI Vega Gurus

I'm running a Vega over my 29 gal biocube. Fixture is about 12" AFW and dialed back to 35% white, 45% blue, 40% red, green, royal. I do a 4 hr ramp up starting at 730am and a 4 hr ramp down at 530pm with lights out at 945pm then start lunar cycle at 10pm and ending at 3am and dark after that. Night intensity is at 5% royal blues (usually) but I just bumped it up to 9% just to see what it looks like. I kept it this way for a month then bumped everything up by 5% except nite time setting for lunar cycle. I've seen a lot of people run up to the 60% range, but everything seems to be doing just fine so I dunno. We'll see.

I have 3 Vega's over my 165. The depth is 34". Here are my current settings:
White 45%
Green/Red 60%
All Blues at 100%
Schedule is 7 A.M. to 5 P.M. with a 3 hour ramp time.
I occasionally turn the whites up to 100% if a BTA starts climbing to high and I want to drive it back down but only for a few days.
It took months for me to figure out what was causing my Acros to pale. It was the white light.
If it were my tank, I would turn those whites down to about 30 or 40%

I acclimate slowly. Probably at least a month. I am very careful to find the light level and flow rate that they are happy with. Some SPS arrive with more color loss than others. Some that I really want have been put through quite a lot of shipping.

Wendy..do you have SPS? And, How long did you acclimate to get 100% on Blues?

Update: Here we are several months later, I bumped mine up %5 every few weeks until I got the whites up to about 60%. Everything started bleaching so I backed them down again. Everything recovered 80% colors, but never like they should be so 2 weeks ago I backed them down even further to WHITE = 20, COLORS = 15, BLUES 40. Colors are improving, but already better than they ever have been in my tank. I think I'm on the right track.
