The new controller looks SWEET. And yes, it can play nice with the older units:

Someone has to have these lights on their tank by now on R2R...I would love to see someone's tank with these lights on them and what they think!

I have been waiting for someone to say something!! I received 2 e mails that says they are in stock but I cant wait to actually see them at MACNA. I have practically begged AI to demo them side by side with the SOL.
The new controller sounds great but its the new colors that the Vega has that I am interested in.

I had preordered mine from Reefgeek.com and received them just this past Friday... Haven't had a chance to install them over my tank yet. Still figuring out how I'm going to mount them.

I was trying to wait to order these, wanted to see them over a tank first. noone was posting pictures of thats so I ordered 2 blacks from Premiumaquatics, should have them thursday. Only 2 day shipping from them to me.
